I shared my laundry routine here last year, however I have made a few changes since then and I have also created something to make keeping track of my routine a little easier.
Over the last couple of weeks, I have come to the realisation that the way I was doing laundry probably wasn’t the most productive or time conscious. Previously, all the lights would go into one hamper, the darks into another. I would wash, dry, and fold then would sort the clothes back into baskets for each family member then take them to their closets and put the clothes away.
You guys see the problem right? Why make myself more work sorting the clothes once they are folded, then putting them back into a basket, then into the closets. *Light Bulb Moment* Why not wash, dry and fold each family members clothes together?
Now once I have washed and dried each persons clothing, I take the washing basket to their closet and fold the clothes straight into the drawers. Seriously, why did it take me so long to figure this out? It has slashed so much time off doing the laundry each day.
So, this is my new and improved laundry routine.
Monday – Brendan’s Clothes
Tuesday – Hazel’s Clothes
Wednesday – Towels
Thursday – My Clothes
Friday – Hazel’s Clothes
Saturday – Sheets
Sunday – Kitchen Towels
To help me keep track of my new laundry routine after changing it up a bit, I created a schedule to put in my laundry room.
Today for all my lovely readers I am giving away my laundry routine printable for you to save and print out at home. You can download your free laundry schedule printable here.
Do you have a laundry routine? Do you wash everyday or do you do it all on one day?
