Over the past few years I have managed to cull a lot of my scarves, belts, clutches and gloves however I still have a bit of a collection of each. Today I thought I would show you how I store them.
My storage solution probably won’t work for everyone so at the end of this post I have included some space saving storage solutions which I have found around the web.
Last year I shared this post with you about how I organise the hanging section of my wardrobe. Above that section I have a shelf where I keep 4 black canvas boxes.
In the first box, I keep my belts and gloves. I put a storage container in the canvas box to contain my gloves and winter hats.
The second box has all my winter scarves. I fold the scarves and stack them sideways so it is easy to see what I have.
In the third box I have all my summer scarves. I wrap these ones up so they stay together.
The last box has my clutches stacked next to each other.
On the front of the boxes, I made up some labels so I remembered what was in each box.
I am lucky to have the space I do in my walk-in however I know space can be an issue for many wardrobes. I am going to share a few of my favourite accessory organising tips from around the web.
This first one is actually in B’s cupboard. I originally purchased it from Ikea to hold my scarves, however I found it really hard to get to amongst my hanging clothes. B now uses it to hold his belts and ties.
If you have another idea for keeping your accessories organised, I would love to hear it. Leave me a comment below.
