How is your family going this flu season? We have been struck down hard this year, poor little H was sick over the weekend, B had it earlier this week and I think I am next. Boo!
I don’t know about you but when we have sick people in the house, everything tends to get neglected. The washing starts to pile up and clutter starts to appear, because honestly, when I am sick all I want to do is snuggle on the couch.
The downside to that is when my house is messy so is my mind, I find it really hard to concentrate when all I can see is mess. And that is not good in the middle of the night when I am trying to remember when little H had her last dose of Panadol or if she has had 3 or 4 doses of antibiotics today.
I made up these two printables to help me keep track of our medication and I thought I would share how I use them with my lovely readers today.
The first one is for keeping track of medications like Paracetamol, Ibuprofen and cold and flu medication. It has a space to put the time, the type of medication and the dose given. I have also included a space for symptoms, we usually use this section to keep track of Hazel’s temperature.
The second printable is for regular medications like antibiotics. Up the top it has room to put your child’s name (I included this incase you have more than one child on antibiotics… You poor thing!), the medication they are taking, what the dosage is and how often it should be taken. There is also a little check box to indicate if the medication needs to be taken with food.
Down the bottom I have a section for each day of the week and spaces for 4 doses per day. If your child only needs 2 doses a day you can just cross 3 and 4 out.
I printed ours out on A5 paper and laminated them so I can use them like a dry erase board with whiteboard markers. I also stuck a magnet strip to the back of each one so I can put them on the fridge for everyone to see. When they are not in use, I keep them inside our medicine cabinet ready to pull out for next time.
I made these printables in 4 bright and cheery colours because if your family has been struck with the dreaded flu, you probably need some cheering up 🙂 You can purchase all these medication trackers in my online store.
I hope your family hasn’t been hit with sickness too hard this winter.
