Cleaning Schedule {Part 2}

April 14, 2013

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone had a Fabulous weekend. When I left you last we were looking at our cleaning schedules. Today I want to show you what to do with your checklist.

I tried a couple of different things before I found the perfect solution. I had print outs in my day planner to begin with, then I tried a binder with laminated sheets but found I would forget all about them.

I needed something that I could see everyday without having to pull out a binder every time I cleaned something (which is a lot).

I printed out my cleaning schedule and popped it in this frame that I had at home. Then put it up on the wall next to my mini office.

It is in a perfect position, right between our kitchen and laundry (which seems to be where most of the cleaning happens). I see it every time I walk past so it reminds me what I need to do. No more forgetting to clean the oven for months on end!

I just use a whiteboard marker to tick off the tasks then clean it with a cloth when I am done.

I was so happy with my cleaning chart but I thought it looked a bit lonely on the wall all by it self.

I had another frame the same as my cleaning one so i whipped up a little week planner with a section for notes.

I am an avid diary user however B isn’t so much. This has been great for him to know what is going on during the week. No more “You didn’t tell me we were going to your mother’s place”.

How is everyones cleaning schedule going? Have you had to make any changes yet? My first week was a bit of an eye opener, I thought I could get so much more done in the time I had available. Mine is working great now and my pursuit for a perfectly clean house is getting so close I can smell it!

    Hi Jess, I love this idea! Is there anyway you might be able to make your lists as printables? I downloaded a free trial of Pixelmator but have no idea where to begin to create something as pretty as your lists. Thanks, Jacki. x
